Dr. Dolgoff has served in a number of roles at Alta Bates Medical Center. He is a past President of the Medical Staff and a past Chairperson of the Department of Psychiatry. At present he is the Medical Director for Mental Health Services and for Electroconvulsive Therapy and is the Chairperson for Quality Assurance for Mental Health Services. He has served as President of the Northern California Psychiatric Society and was a member of its Ethics Committee for many years. He is the Medical Director for Berkeley Therapy Institute, a nonprofit community clinic in central Berkeley. He is the founder and President of Doctor to Doctor, a nonprofit organization that provides assistance to medical professionals in countries around the world.
His current clinical activities include inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).
